Are you sure this is the IP address being used by the LBP5050? I question it because assuming that your router would be using 10.0.1.1 then it suggests that the printer was the next device to obtain an IP address, which seems odd when you would have other devices such as the Mac on this network. You then show you adding the printer using an IP address of 10.0.1.2. I can see from one screenshot that you tried to ping the printer at 192.168.0.215 and it failed to respond. So the IP address that the printer had prior to all the file removal should still be the same. With regards to the network settings, the IP address of the printer will not change when you perform the removal of the CAPT driver - or the old Netspot files on the Mac. The Printer Statusmonitor seems to send data to the printer, but no printing.occurs. I can't get it done with the network cable nor direct USB. The guide states, that any error message may be irrelevant. After it occurred with Mavericks already, I received from Canon Support a procedure for reinstalling with a new CAPT V38X Driver. This time I have been still unable to get my Canon iSensys LBP5050n USB & Network Printer running. Lately a power failure caused Mail and Printers to be reinstalled. My Canon iSensys LBP5050n network color laser printer increasingly needed reinstallation after system updates.
